Get the perfect fit every time.

Simple Steps to Determine Your Best Measurement.

It’s the most common problem when shopping online… what size do you choose? This is especially true when you are selecting something close fitting like a collar or choker necklace.

After all, nothing is more disappointing than getting something you adore, only to find it doesn’t fit.

Don’t worry, determining what size to chose is actually very simple. With a few household items and a few minutes, you can get the perfect fitting collar, choker, or necklace every time.

Pro Tip: Measure in front of a mirror, or have a friend help you. You can also measure your existing choker or collar if you have one you like the fit of.

  • A piece of string, ribbon, yarn, or other long and flexible material.
  • A ruler, measuring tape, or other measuring device.
  • Optional: A mirror or a friend to assist you with your measuring.

Getting Your Choker Size.

Step 1. Uncoil your string. Take the cut end between your fingers and wrap the string around your neck, ensuring that the string is sitting at the base of your neck, just above your shoulders.

Step 2. Adjust the ribbon or string so that the cut end is sitting in the front center of your neck, in the hallow of your throat.

Step 3. Bring the long side of the string around until it meets with the cut end. Make sure the string is snug around your neck but not tight.

Step 4. Mark the long end of the string where it meets the cut end by pinching it between your fingers.

Step 5. Release the CUT END of the string and slide it off your neck. Be sure not to release the long end, this is your choker collar measurement

Step 6. Use your ruler or measuring tape to measure the length of string. This is the size you will purchase for a choker style bdsm collar.

Measuring for Longer Lengths.

Step 1. Uncoil your string. Take the cut end between your fingers and wrap the string around your neck, ensuring that the string is sitting at the base of your neck, just above your shoulders.

Step 3. Bring the long side of the string around until it meets with the cut end.

Step 4. Mark the long end of the string where it meets the cut end by pinching it between your fingers.

Step 6. Use your ruler or measuring tape to measure the length of string. This is the size you will purchase.

Things to Note.

When ordering a locking collar.

If you would like a tight fitting locking collar, subtract 1/2 inch from your measurement. The bolt of the lock will add 1/2 inch to the overall size.

Round up or down.

Our designs come in 1 inch and 1/2 inch sizes. If you are in between sizes, round up to the nearest half inch to ensure your necklace doesn’t arrive too small.

Size includes the clasp.

The size you choose will include the length of the clasp. So make sure you measure carefully for close fitting choker styles.
