Processing Time

At Serenity in Chains, we understand that you have purchased an item because you love it, and can't wait to have it. With that in mind, we attempt to ship your purchased piece(s) as fast as possible to you, in discreet packaging.

No purchase information is marked on the outside of our Domestic Packages. International Packages are marked by broad categories ("Necklace" for all necklaces, collars, and nipple necklaces, etc...). Your privacy is my top concern, and I will always aim to keep your nosey neighbors guessing and your postal worker in the dark.

Under normal circumstances, all items will be shipped within 3 business days of payment received (excluding commissioned items, customer request alterations, and items purchased via e-check). All Items are sent USPS First Class, unless otherwise requested, and have delivery confirmation. USPS Priority, Express, UPS, DHL and Fedex are available as well, and can be quoted upon request. U.S. Customers can add Priority to their order Here.

Please note that Holidays may effect our processing times, as we are closed on all major US holidays.

Holiday Shipping Deadlines

The following are the last days for customers to purchase from us and recieve their items by Christmas.


We are unable to ship your item until your e-check has cleared. This may take 5-7 business days, and we are unable to affect this process. We appreciate your patience!

International Customers

International (Non US) customers: Please allow extra time for delivery (up to 3 weeks, except November through January when transit time may extend to 6 weeks due to the holidays), Tracking may not be updated, or may be sporadic once your purchase has left US soil. All tariffs, customs fees, and import taxes and any other fees, taxes, duties, or costs are the customer's responsibility. Please check with your customs department if you are unsure if they will charge you a fee. All items are marked as Merchandise with correct value declared, no exceptions.

EU Customers: As of March, 2015 the EU enacted a Value Added Tax (VAT) for all goods (including digital) purchased outside of your country over a certain value. This is not something we are able to anticipate the amount of, effect, or pay for you. Please contact your Customs Department for information about the VAT. Refusal of packages due to VAT will be treated as a Non Defective Return.

Local Pickup

Local customers may request to pick up their purchase at one of our local markets or shows, and have shipping charges waived. Please Contact Us for Pickup options.

Shipping Upgrades

We offer shipping upgrades, such as Priority 1-3 day, Priority Express 1-3 day (previously called Overnight) and international Priority Express (previously called 'Overnight').

For domestic (US) customers: please purchase the Shipping Upgrade in the store appropriate to your needs. Priority will arrive in 2-3 days under normal circumstances but is not guaranteed. Express (previously called overnight) will arrive in 1-3 days and is guaranteed by USPS. 

International Customers: Please Contact us if you would like to upgrade your shipping prior to purchase for an accurate quote. We will then send you a PayPal invoice for the shipping upgrade.

Please note that normal shipping upgrades do not effect processing times. To have your order processed (packed) and shipped more quickly, please purchase RUSH processing. Rush processing is not available with Custom orders, Customer requested alterations, during Holiday closures, and on E-check payments.

Inclement Weather

Our studio is located in beautiful lakeside Toledo, Ohio. One of the unfortunate side effects of this location is the sporadically terrible weather. We have a saying here "If you don't like the weather, just blink." and "Ohio has 4 seasons. Winter, Still Winter, Construction, and Almost Winter!" That is because our winters are beautiful, but they can be filled with all the retchedness of the North East lake effect snows, and Alberta Clippers. We do get snowed in on occasion, and even mail service stops during these times. Unfortunately, even with snow shoes in hand we would not be able to convince the post office to open on days deemed 'Inclement Weather' in our area, which means your package will ship as soon as mail service resumes. We appreciate your patience while we dig ourselves out during these times! We will announce these occasions on our facebook.
